Once upon a time, a little ant was walking around looking for food when it saw a little cocoon. The cocoon could hardly move, only wiggling its tail just a tiny bit to show it was alive.
The ant felt sorry for it and started to brag, “Oh, you poor thing! Look at me! I can run to the very top of any tree, carry yummy sugar crumbs, and even give people a tiny nip and run away to hide! But you are just stuck inside that shell. What a boring life!”.
The cocoon didn’t say a single word back.
A few days later, the ant was walking on the same path when a voice called out, “Mr. Ant!”. The ant looked up and saw a gorgeous, colorful butterfly!
The butterfly said, “Look at me now! Now you are the one to feel sorry for. All you know how to do is crawl up and down trees, and you thought that was so great! I don’t have time to chat now because I am going to fly away, drink sweet flower juice, and show off my beautiful wings!”.
Before the little ant could even look, the beautiful butterfly flew away into the gentle spring breeze, looking like a magical splash of colors.
The Moral of the Story: Everyone gets their own special time to shine and be great!
